Dr. Dinesh was duly elected to the post of the General Secretary and strived hard to bring the college gymkhana to prominence in inter-collegiate sports and dance competitions in Mumbai and Pune. He and his team of young and dynamic office bearers take credit for having arranged for the first time, the `College Day’ functions in one of the largest public auditoriums in Andheri at the time. He was also instrumental in arranging several medical clinical training sessions with Registrars and staff of the Cooper hospital and other well known medical institutes in Mumbai such as Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital .
His burning desire to take Homoeopathy into rural India and his quest for perfection in the practice of medicine took him to a town called Gokak in Belgaum district of Karnataka (a State in south India) where he worked for three years as Medical Officer in a 50 bedded rural hospital. The purpose was to learn firsthand the intricacies of medical and surgical diagnosis. Unlike in cities where the patient invariably comes well worked up by physicians or surgeons of Modern medicine, here it was medical practice at grass root level. During this period he also worked for a year under a very popular and prominent physician in Belgaum, a large town with modern medical facilities, 65 Kms. from Gokak.
Dr. Dinesh comes from a family of homoeopaths whose antecedents date back four generations to the 19th century, when his great grandfather picked up the threads from Fr.Mueller, India's first homoeopathic practitioner in Mangalore. The wealth of experience and knowledge passed on down the generations is unsurpassed, since in those days modern medicine was unknown and antibiotics unheard of. Homoeopathy was the only effective system of medicine and many of the cases, spanning every `speciality' they treated, were nothing short of remarkable. Today with thirty years of experience treating the most intractable and difficult acute as well as chronic cases, Dr. Dinesh's services to the people of this part of Karnataka are being recognized. He was recently invited to give various seminars and lectures based on his vast experience in treating acute cases, especially Acute Pneumonia in Mumbai, Belgaum and Bangalore. His video presentations of a few select cases were very well received all over and he was invited to join the faculty as a lecturer in the prestigious `Bharatesh Homoeopathic Medical College' - Belgaum. The global scene was until now dominated by his peers from Mumbai with easy access to national and international forums. This gave the world a lopsided view of Homoeopathy as a system of medicine to be used as a last resort and especially for intractable chronic cases. This cannot be further from the truth. Gokak is a town which has in the recent years developed into a prominent medical center in North Karnataka, with almost a hundred doctors of almost every specialty practicing in their own hospitals, with the latest equipment and facilities.
Dr.Dinesh is invited to many of these hospitals to treat the most difficult post -operative complications and cases where the best efforts of modern medicine have gone in vain. Cases include Gastro-enteritis, Fever of Unknown Origin, post anesthesia complications like lower respiratory infections, vomiting, recurring post operative pain, paralytic ileus, strictures of the urethra, anal fissures, fistula etc.
Dr. Dinesh has read extensively and researched in-depth about the methods used by the venerated `gurus’ of Homoeopathy since the time of the founder – Dr.Samuel Hahnemann. His extensive research has led him to adopt the surest and quickest method of curing his patients using the least number of symptoms patients have to offer in such trying circumstances. His forte is treating Acute Pneumonia where his methods have snatched patients from the jaws of death as he demonstrates in his video presentations. This confidence and experience to treat potentially fatal acute pneumonia comes from years of experience and research into the methods of the `Masters of Homoeopathy’. It may be known that pneumonia is often referred to as the `CAPTAIN OF DEATH’. Even today it accounts for the maximum fatalities in children and infants after diarrhoea in developing countries. It is estimated that despite the use of higher antibiotics almost 20% of children suffering from this deadly disease succumb to it.
In Dr. Dinesh’s `RAPID CURE SPECIALTY HOMOEOPATHIC CLINIC’ not a single fatality has been encountered and only one child (using steroids for Nephrotic Syndrome) has had to be referred to a modern medical facility for treatment. This confirms Dr. James Kent’s observation that less than 1% of his patients died in the many epidemics of Pneumonia that swept through Britain in the days before antibiotics. It is a pity that such a wonderful health care system should be relegated to the status of an `Alternative system of medicine’ and at what phenomenal cost?
Dr. Dinesh’s RAPID CURE SPECIALTY HOMOEOPATHIC CLINIC aims to make Homeopathy immensely affordable to the public at large and reinstate the system to its true glory as an answer to acute as well as chronic diseases. The type of patients he treats has given him vast experience in `pathological prescribing’ where diseases with extensive pathological involvement throw up very few symptoms. Symptoms are what the average Homoeopath looks for while treating his cases, the absence of which makes the case difficult for him to decipher.
Recently his efforts have been recognized by the homoeopathic doctors of Karnataka and he was felicitated by the KARNATAKA STATE HOMOEOPATHIC DOCTORS ASSOCIATION (Karnataka Nondayit Homoeopathic Vaidyara Sangh) at the hands of the Chairperson of the CENTRAL COUNCIL OF HOMOEOPATHY – Dr. Ramji Singh of Patna.
